Replay programmes with Catch-up

Understand what is provider-hosted replay and what must be recorded locally.

Actual app screen · fictional demonstration content, not included with M3ufy. Layout may vary by version and device.
Before you start

Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.

#Before you start

Catch-up needs an archive-capable source and channel, published archive history, and permission from your provider. A guide entry alone is not a recording. Ordinary M3U sources do not automatically gain Xtream/Stalker archive support.

#Choose a past programme

Open Catch-up, select a group/channel and a past programme within the archive period.

  1. Choose a channel showing available replay history.
  2. Move to the date and programme you want.
  3. Select the entry and start playback.
  4. Use player seeking within the available replay. Return to the current channel to go live again.
Keep in mind

Archive days vary by channel and provider. An entry outside that range can remain in the guide while its video is no longer available.

#Catch-up from the guide

Navigate left into past guide programmes and select an archive-supported entry. The guide needs stored past listings as well as provider replay. If old cells are empty, the app cannot invent that history.

#Catch-up versus recording

Catch-up is stored by your provider. Recording writes a stream to your chosen drive from the time recording starts. Downloading additional guide days does not extend your provider’s archive. The documentation screenshot shows fictional replay data, not an archive service included with M3ufy.

#Browse groups, channels and dates

The refreshed Catch-up page separates group selection, channels and programme history. Select the channel first, then a date and an available finished programme. The details area helps identify the selected programme before playback.

  1. Choose a group to narrow the channel list.
  2. Choose an archive-capable channel.
  3. Choose the available date and programme, then press OK to start its replay.
Keep in mind

The screenshots use a local demonstration archive. Real archive duration and playback depend on the provider.
