Make Home your own
Choose layouts, posters, artwork, rows, motion and startup behaviour.
Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.
#Choose a starting design
Open Settings → Appearance & navigation → Home. Home layout preset offers Modern, Classic and Custom status. Modern applies a ready-made Top-menu design. Classic keeps your menu position. Manual design changes are reflected as Custom.
- Choose the preset closest to what you want.
- Set Home menu position to Side or Top.
- Choose Portrait, Landscape or Expand for posters. Expand starts portrait and widens after a delay.
- Adjust featured slider, artwork and motion separately.
A hidden row is not deleted progress. Appearance options do not change your provider’s content.
#Featured picks and artwork
Show featured slider controls the hero area. Auto-advance featured picks rotates it when you are not browsing; Time between picks is used only when rotation is enabled. Use full-screen background artwork extends the picture behind Home. Change artwork with the selected poster makes it follow focus.
#Rows and catalogues
Continue watching row shows unfinished items. Popular on Home uses weekly metadata picks matched to playlist titles. Sports has its own live-matches toggle. After connecting Trakt, its catalogue rows become available to enable, disable and order in Home. Use the row controls shown rather than deleting a service connection just to hide one row.
#Motion and fast browsing
Smooth poster and row motion adds movement. Reduce Home motion makes transitions calmer while keeping saved design choices. Navigation → Hold to scroll posters controls rapid holding of LEFT/RIGHT on Home; Fast horizontal navigation is a separate repeat-speed preference.
#Open on the screen you want
Navigation → Open on selects Where I left off, Home or Live TV. Reopen in Live TV helps return to a previously watched live session. Start M3ufy when the device starts is a separate opt-in boot feature, not the setting for which app page opens.
#Clock and weather on Home
Select the weather part of the Home status area to open its settings. City selection and weather visibility are controlled there, separately from the clock shown during playback.
- Enter your city and choose Find city.
- Select the correct place from the results.
- Use Hide weather or Show weather to change visibility, then Done to close.
Weather requires internet access and can be temporarily unavailable. The offline documentation build cannot demonstrate a real forecast. Clock formatting is controlled in Appearance.
#Choose where automatic trailers appear
On builds that include automatic trailers, open Settings → Appearance & navigation → Navigation. Enable Play trailer on selection, then choose Trailer location: Landscape card or Home corner / backdrop.
- Choose Landscape card for previews inside eligible wide cards, or Home corner / backdrop for the larger background preview.
- Set the delay and mute preference, then rest focus on an eligible movie or series in a content row.
- Move to another title or start playback to leave the preview.
Movies and series rotating in the featured slider use still artwork rather than automatic trailers. Corner previews use the selected app background colour and softened edges. A trailer must be available; store builds can omit this feature.
