Find a match and its channels
Filter fixtures and see channel-search matches as they are found.
Options depend on your plan, profile, installed build and provider. Understand access. Screenshots use fictional demonstration data; a preview layout can differ slightly from a public build.
#Choose the sports you follow
Open Settings → Library & content → Sports. Enable Sports page, select Sports you follow and choose Country or continent. Live matches on Home adds a row; Only major competitions reduces lower-division, youth and reserve fixtures.
#Find channels for an event
Open Sports and select a fixture, such as a Premier League match.
- Check the teams, competition and scheduled time.
- Start the event’s channel/source search.
- Browse matches as they appear while the search continues; you do not have to wait for the full scan.
- Choose a channel and check the actual broadcast. More matching channels can appear as remaining sources are searched.
There is no fixed 24-channel result cap. Many feeds and large playlists still take time to scan; first results do not mean the search has finished.
#Understand what a match means
Channel matching uses your available sources and programme/channel information. A name or EPG match is a candidate, not a guarantee of rights, regional coverage or a working stream. Different languages/regions may carry different events.
#If the page is empty
Check your filters and date, then internet connectivity. Fixture and metadata services can be unavailable independently of your IPTV streams. A guide download cannot repair an external sports-service outage. Send a diagnostic report with the event and time if the problem persists.
#Hold OK on a match: watch, remind or record
Focus a match/event card on the Sports page, hold OK, release it, then choose Watch, the reminder action or the recording action from its menu. Touch users can long-press the match card. A short selection and a hold do not have the same purpose.
- For a future match, choose the reminder action and read the confirmation. It asks at kick-off; selecting it again can remove an existing reminder. A match that already started cannot receive a new future kick-off reminder.
- To record, choose the recording action. M3ufy searches for candidate channels; choose the actual broadcaster you want to record.
- Check the recording confirmation, then open Recordings → Scheduled to review its channel and event times. Adjust the booking if the expected end time needs padding.
- Choose Watch to find and preview candidate channels instead of creating a recording.
Recording needs a usable channel, storage and sufficient provider connections. Match duration/end times can be estimates, and channel matches can be wrong. A reminder is not a recording. The TV must remain available for scheduled work.
#Preview a sports channel before fullscreen
In a match’s channel results, choosing a candidate first loads its preview. Selecting the already-previewing candidate enters fullscreen. Results can continue arriving while you inspect them. In the recording channel picker, selection books the channel rather than following the watch-preview flow; read its recording instructions before confirming.
#Search order and results that arrive progressively
For football, channel search checks the published schedule first, then broadcaster APIs, followed by local event-name matching and the TV Guide. Found channels appear as work completes; more results can arrive while you browse.
- Choose the correct fixture and start its channel search.
- Try a result as soon as it appears, or wait for the search status to finish.
- Return to the result list to inspect further channels if the first feed is not showing the match.
There is no fixed 24-result cap. A first search can take longer while channel indexes are prepared. Candidate channels are not a guarantee that the provider is carrying the event.
